Default Personnal Call manager config

I have a question on the personal call manager. Where are the locations that the personal call manager pulls from. I know from boot up on the client machine that it pulls information from outlook contacts. However I can type in names that are not in the local contacts list in outlook and it pulls information with phone numbers. I need to the edit this information with new personnel. Is it pulling from a public area in exchange or somewhere off the Shoretel server.

There are personal speed dails that can be configured at the user PCM. There is also a sytem directory in the ShoreWare Director where you can edit inforamtion on user on the sytem add contacts to the dierctory.

Does this help?

PCM also pulls information from your Exchange Global Address List, personal address books, public folder contacts, etc if the client is configured to do so.

In the PCM, choose the Options menu, Configure Shoretel System, Outlook tab, and click More Options in the "Memorized Phone Number Management" section at the bottom. Click the Import Configurator tab. Address Books is likely checked, highlight it and click the Details button.. (almost out of gas on clicking here..)

All the sources of contact information are checked. I've found that only using the GAL and the Outlook contacts keeps things less confusing for users. Specifically Personal Address Books tend to have old information and I get people complaining that the wrong name comes up when someone is calling and they think this information is coming from the phone system.

Hope this helps..

Thanks Jessica...I think that is what I am looking for, the GAL is what I need to edit. While it seems that everything is checked by default on the PCM. The GAL is where I need to edit.
