Default Clear settings on phones remotely?

Is anyone able to clear a users' settings on their phone remotely and reboot, and for a batch of phones? We had to change some DHCP and Vlan settings and we don't want the phones trying to reach the same IP address they have stored in their cache, and so far have only been successful using Mute-Clear on each individual phone.

Thanks,

I'm curious if anyone has found a solution to this as well. We had a whole site's worth of phones with an incorrect SNTP settings and had to Mute-Clear all the phones too. Not fun.

Default phonectl

you can use the phonectl command to telenet into the phone and issue a RESET. Make your changes in the DHCP server and the reset will cause the phone to reload.

I tried that when we had this issue.

Our problem came from the cached leased in the phone. The DHCP server wasn't setup with the SNTP settings, later on they were added and the option wasn't pulled by the phone - it still kept it's cached information. Only way to get it to pull the new information was the mute-clear# command.

Cut your DHCP lease time down and force a refresh from the server
