Not sure if to post this here or in the Microsoft area. I have a few users that are using the Outlook integration to receive there VM in an email wav file. The problem I am having is when they try to forward the VM to another user. Everything seems to work but when they click send on the email it gets stuck in the outbox in outlook and never transmits. Most of our users are using Office 2007. We are on Shoretel 7.3. Any idea why the wav file will not forward in email? The size of the file is around 20kb and ishappening on more than one user.

are you sure it is not sending? I have seen this situation but the recipient actually does get the voice mail. How do you get the email into outlook, are you converting it? Before you can forward an voice mail, you have to convert the message. When you address the email, ShoreTel wants to show you the Voicemail directory list, meaning it wants the recipient to be a ShoreTel user. Is the user you are trying to send it to a ShoreTel user? or another member of your contacts. If it is another contact list, you need to convert the file before you send it.

Yes the email is not sending. The email comes to outlook automatically with the call manager integration. Outlook can not preview the email you have to double click the message to open. It then comes up with a kind of playback windows where you can click on play..pause and so on. There is also a forward button on this window and you can select users. Not sure if it is pulling from our exchange GAL or if it is the Shoretel user list. Regardless the user I am sending to is in the list and a Shoretel user. There is no conversion that I see. If I click on forward on this window or if I click forward in Outlook and send to a user it still gets hung in the outbox. However if I create a new email, select a user in the exchange GAL and drag this VM into the body. The message does not get hung in the outbox and they get the VM message in Outlook and can read. No conversion there that I can see just an attached wav file.
